Open Data Attribution

DirtLink, operated by Earth Movers Network Inc., operating as 'DirtLink', uses open data published by the City of Calgary. This Notice acknowledges that use as required by the City's open data licence.

1. Source data

Development permit information displayed on the Service is sourced from the City of Calgary Open Data Portal, available at data.calgary.ca. Specifically, we use the Development Permits dataset and related metadata.

2. Licence

The data is provided under the Open Government Licence – City of Calgary, available at data.calgary.ca/stories/s/Open-Calgary-Terms-of-Use/u45n-7awa. This licence permits us to copy, modify, publish, translate, adapt, distribute, and otherwise use the data, subject to the conditions in the licence.

3. Required attribution

In accordance with the licence, we display the following attribution on every page of the Service that uses City of Calgary open data, and in every product, derivative work, or service that incorporates the data:

4. Disclaimers

We rely on the City of Calgary as the source of permit information. We do not independently verify, validate, or update permit data beyond what the City publishes.

Per the Open Government Licence, the City of Calgary excludes all warranties regarding the data, and is not liable for losses arising from its use. The City does not endorse DirtLink or any other product or service that uses its data.

5. Updates

If the City of Calgary changes its open data licence or terms, we will update this Notice and adjust our use of the data accordingly.
